Gospel singing workshops

Have you always wanted to try singing gospel music but never figured out how to make it happen?

Are you used to singing in a classical or jazz style, and you want to have a go at gospel singing?

I offer gospel singing workshops for people of all backgrounds and abilities - whether you're a total beginner, or already an accomplished singer (or choir) in another musical style.

My gospel singing workshops are non-scary, energising, and - above all - fun!

Depending on how long we've got to spend together, topics can include:

learning songs by ear
beautiful gospel three-part harmony
movement! Gospel singers use their whole bodies when they sing: their hands, their feet, their tummy muscles...you name it
gospel repertoire: from old classics like 'Oh Happy Day' to the funky music of contemporary artists like Kirk Franklin and Tonex
vocal technique
exploring ways you could start to incorporate gospel music into your choir's repertoire, or your church services

Perfect for community choirs, churches, women's institutes, office choirs, universities, adult education centres, other community groups - and people of any faith and none.
